Welcome to the Diaspora Investment Desk (DID)! Our aim is to bridge the gap between residents of Ghana and Ghanaians living abroad as well as diasporas of African descent to create a new stream of investments for the Ghanaian economy. We believe that by harnessing the global Ghanaian resource potential for accelerated national development, we can build and maintain a healthy economic relationship between Ghana and its diaspora community.
At DID, we coordinate all activities and serve as the liaison for all projects, programs, and issues involving the diaspora community. We also promote and maintain active communication among resident and non-resident Ghanaians. We understand the challenges diasporas face when trying to invest in Ghana, so we ease the re-entry of diasporas into the Ghanaian market with our support services.
We provide information to advise diasporas about the investment climate and opportunities available in Ghana and maintain a database of all diaspora connections.
DID organizes road shows, exhibitions and engagement programs abroad with selected stakeholders for key discussions and feedback to create tailor-made programs to address pertinent issues facing the diaspora community in their quest to settle or invest in Ghana. Additionally, we hold stakeholder events and feedback engagements.
We believe that by providing a central point for the coordination of programs and activities between the Diaspora community and Ghana, we can encourage diasporas living abroad to invest in Ghana.
